As the summer draws to a close, many of us are looking for ways to make the most of these final warm days. For my colleagues and me, that means lacing up our running shoes and hitting the pavement for a cause close to our hearts. On the 1st of September, we’ll be participating in the London Big Half, not just for the thrill of the run but to raise awareness and funds for an incredible local charity, Minstead Trust.
Minstead Trust is a remarkable organisation that provides essential support to people with learning disabilities in our community. Their mission is to help these individuals lead more independent and fulfilling lives, offering everything from residential care to day services, training, and social activities. Their impact on the lives of those they support is profound, and we’re honoured to be running in their name.
However, as with many charitable organisations, Minstead Trust relies heavily on the generosity of others to continue their life-changing work. That’s why we’re not just running for ourselves, we’re running to help ensure that Minstead Trust can provide these vital services to those who need them most.
We aim to raise as much as possible to support Minstead Trust’s programs and services. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a significant difference. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of people with learning disabilities, helping them achieve greater independence and happiness.
If you’d like to support our run and, more importantly, the incredible work of Minstead Trust, you can donate via our fundraising page here.
Even if you’re not able to donate, you can still help by spreading the word. Please share this post with your network, talk to your friends and family, and help us reach as many people as possible. The more people who know about Minstead Trust and our run, the closer we get to hitting our fundraising target.
We’re excited and nervous as we prepare for the London Big Half, but knowing we’re running for a meaningful cause makes every step worthwhile. Thank you in advance for your support, whether through a donation, a share, or just cheering us on from the sidelines.
Together, we can make a difference. Let’s do this! 💙
